the old wellington

By gwynn56
The Old Wellington in Manchester , I wonder how many visiting Manchester see this building and think it's been there all the time , I must admit I thought it blended in nicely with the Cathedral and a few other buildings , the thing that spoilt it though was the black and white oyster bar adjoining it , so for those like me that not live in the area , I have attached a link that gives a brief history of it , when you read the link I'm sure a few will remember the atrocity

A great image of a place I visited in December 2012 when the Christmas Market was on, Gwynn!
A lot more folks about then, though!

Looks like a wonderful place to stop and enjoy a drink or two! I assume the bombing was during what is now referred to as "The Troubles"?

It looks a very nice place to visit or have a meal.
Don't know much about Manchester and I didn't know there was another Shambles
apart from the one in York.
