The ones that got away

By mrswoolybill
Two of Helenlindaís ducks have escaped and have found their way onto a mirror in a shop window display in York.
I loved the reflections. The light bulb was a bit of a problem but I couldnít avoid it so I tried to compose round it.
Iíve enabled Mods... Helen has already had a bit of fun with this , you can see her little skaters better here.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Well spotted and captured round that pesky lightbulb and did you inform them they needed to clean the displays ? Wink

Excellent set of images, Moira, at first I thought they were very decorative miniature soaps! Lovely colours, well captured. Carol

Thanks folks. These were photographed through the shop window, quite late in the day so conditions were not ideal. I think I'm starting to favour V2, not sure why.

I wonder if they are now sat in your bathroom somewhere Moira Smile

Sorry to disappoint you John, they'd clash horribly. Now if someone was to produce burgundy-coloured ducks...

This is fun and imaginative too. Difficult to choose one, perhaps V2 because the ducks appear to be looking at the reflection of the light bulb. Clever.

It may well be better without the Highlights which do appear to distract from the rest of the image.
See mod for a quicky.

Well, if Moira and Helen get their heads together like this the permutations will be endless. What fun. I love the inclusion of the gloves on Helen's mod - inspired.

A quacking set, Moira! I bet Helen will be in York searching for this shop and retrieving her ducks! Think I would have cloned out the light bulbs, but having said that, very well seen and captured, love 'em.

These ducks are mischievous on all fronts. First they slip out the window for a wander. Then they arrange themselves around lights which preclude the possibility of a clean shot. Sighhh...just when you thought you could trust billed poultry...

Lovely colourful and fun images Smile V2 I think for me, because the bulb doesn't seem to be quite so intrusive. Nicely taken.

Superb!! Well done on some lovely images, firstly Moira, then Danny and last (but not least!) Helen!!! These have really cheered up with was fast becoming a dismal, snowy day!! I love V2, and I think it is because the light bulb is more unobtrusive, even actually seeming to be "part" of the whole scene!

I thought perhaps you took this in your bath Moira, and the light was the reflection of your ceiling bulb. But on reflection, you probably have strip lighting in your bathroom !!

I think you've involved the light bulb very wisely, fun funky image showing a very "out of the pond" thinking Tongue (sorry for the bad joke).
V2's my favourite although the angle in V1 is great.

a lovely series, but definitely V2 for me; i read the above comments, wondering if i'm the only one who goes for v2; i was pleased to see it was not the case. but what surprised me was that everybody said something about the bulb, in v2; as far as i'm concerned, i vote for it because for some strange reason, it really seems those little ducklings are having a nice walk and a nice chat! (i could almost see them moving and quack-quack-ing something...eh, probably gossips)
really nice series!

A quacking set Moira, if our ferret Rooney was still alive his eyes would have lit up had he spotted these. I can imagine him grabbing them and running off with them and hiding them somewhere!
