The Parish Hall

A day in the life of...
Michael is one of my favourite subjects. But someone should wake him up and tell him that his wife is on stage...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

She seems to be at the back of his mind now. A great study in mono, Moira. Nicely composed.

That's not a beard it's a habitat, you can see in V2 he's enjoying a sparrow's egg which he's just pulled out of it!

Happy New Year! And what a great way to kick it off. Such wonderful candid portraiture, with a beard that would intrigue Conan Doyle ("Lost World") and eyebrows that must be the envy of hairy caterpillars everywhere.

Regards.

I just looked at "The Eternal Tickle" pic; that title would fit this pic too! Otherwise my first reaction was Edward Lear There was an old man with a beard, who said "It is just as I feared; two larks and a wren, two tits and a hen, have all made their nests in my beard". Apologies to Mr Lear for probably getting the bird names wrong.

You're on good form for a Monday morning, folks. Yes, I think you have the measure of the man. And Diane, that beard is lovingly tended.

let's hope he's not as annoyingly noisy.

All the people in your shots looks as if they've come straight from Central Casting. Any one of them could slot into sitcoms or soaps on TV. How lovely to see that they really do exist.

This has caused much wit, largely at the expense of us beardies.

For info - the advantage of a beard is that you avouid shaving rash (a proper beard, anyway. Can't be doing with these stylish bits of beard, myself. Let it all grow, say I! - NOT words often written by a photographer of nudes...)

Personally, I advocate trimming every two or five weeks, to avoid hairs ticking your nostrils, or trying to follow the food down the throat - but I bow to the stylishness of a ZZ Top production, or this kind of full-hearted full-on full... ness?

Anyway, he's probably used to listening, and she's on stage, not addressing him. (Not noticing direct orders is, Mrs Dudler says, not a good idea...)

I can't decide which I find more impressive. His beard or his eyebrows. My word.

My squirrel better not catch sight of him.

I really like the shot in V1. Looks very contemplative and peaceful. Well...the 'peaceful' depends on what's going on in the background Grin
