The composition of this has real potential, but there are two major flaws. I mention these as I suspect they relate to processing errors and as such could be easily put right.

1. The sky is burnt out in the centre of the frame - not sure, but if this is a hdr or a combined exposure you may be able to retrieve this a little. Also as the file is RAW you may be able to create a new version to add as a blended composite at this point.

2. The horizon has a white halo over the top of it. This I think is likely due to your dodge and burn technique, but it is also common in composite images, and by over sharpening. If its a dodge burn error - try to carefully select the sky to the border of the horizon line. Then go to SELECT/ MODIFY SELECTION - choose expand and add 2 pixels. Then choose Feather from the same menu and use the same value as used for your expansion. Now try your burn and see if this makes a difference

Like I say - compositionally the shot has a lot to offer and I only offer such a long critique as I believe it has potential.

Great shot. Agree with Sherlob, are you able to redo? Also, are you able to recompose to the move the ladder slightly to the left so it fall on the 3rds line? Excellent mono effect
