The Pink Lady

I managed to get out yesterday but only local. I decided on a low viewpoint to include more foreground rocks and from this position I couldn't see the sun coming up so I waited patiently until St. Marys Lighthouse was sidelit in some lovely pink light.
Would appreciate any feedback

Great composition but it's that lovely pink light hitting the lighthouse that makes this image for me. Very nicely done...

Well timed and congratulations on superb patience. It is indeed the pink tones on the lighthouse. I like the foreground but for me the front rock is a little too intrusive on the image....Phil

good composition Phil, with some very nice textures in the rock and a good choice of shutter speed for the water. It's the pink light from the rising sun hitting the lighthouse that makes this image for me.
Almost went to St Mary's last night for sunset, but seeing as the weather didnt look too promising went to South Shields instead. Could see a lovely sky developing over Tynemouth Priory, so Im guessing St Mary's would have looked good too.

Fabulous composition. You wanted feedback - does that include suggestions? If so, how about putting a yellow light in the lighthouse? Nothing too much, just the suggestion that the light is on.
