The Portico vine

By mrswoolybill
In Glorious Tecnicolor this time...
I took this for b&w, but it's one of my favourite colour images of the year so far.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Blue and orange, a favourite combination. That'll do nicely. Very nicely.

Wonderful composition and that old brick background is fantastic! Would make a shot all by itself Smile

For me, this is all about the nuances of the patina.

Thanks Leo! And thanks to all the early birds here. We are heading for Wallington again today, the snow appears to be clearing... (I need a fingers crossed emoji).

I prefer the colour image too, Moira. The blue-grey of the metal contrasts so well with the brickwork with the green verdigris and moss/lichens linking the two.

The bricks make a very effective background, colour for me.

I think I prefer the colour version, Moira. The rim lighting is still noticeable, and the brick background acts as a good foil against the hardness of the ironwork.

When it has to be colour. I have a thing for that mossy green stuff. I do like how the vines look to be tugging at it.

Late call but I agree with the majority, definitely the colour and the green patina is beautiful.

Have a lovely day and hope this blinking weather bucks up for you both...hailstone here!
