The Power Hall

By TrevBatWCC
Behind the 'Planet' in my previous upload is the Power Hall building which contains various gas, steam and water powered engines. Many of these are working, as can be seen as I was shooting at around 1/10 second.

Techie stuff – see Exif
Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Photomatix Pro and Elements 6

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Working museums are the best ones, Trev. More extremely interesting images from this location. Fascinating stuff.

Given the wide aperture, high ISO and long exposure, no doubt coupled with being hand held as I guess a tripod would not be permitted or convenient to use, Trev, you have captured some remarkably good images. A steady hand there obviously!
And what a wealth of detail in each shot, and such an interesting museum packed with engines one could spend hours inspecting.
Have a good holiday weekend.
Ronnie.

A visually informative set, Trev. Well captured for hand held, and movement in the right places.

Oh I do love the subject movement in Versions 2 - 4! I shall try to remember what shutter speed to set in similar circumstances Smile
An agreeable and informative set, Trev. V2 for me, the spectators are scarcely moving while that wheel whizzes round.

Bill

There's certainly some action in this set, Trev. Only V1 lacks movement but it certainly makes up for it in colour and detail.
