The ravaged sky

By marktc
I really didn't know whether to upload this image or not. However, being either brave or stupid I decided to give it an airing.

Its a much closer crop than the colour version and I have done a little more post processing to bring out the detail and texture in the church, still leaving the glow from the setting sun behind it to give that glow.

Finally I converted the image to mono using Silver Efex Pro

Thanks for looking and to all those that clicked, commented or voted on yesterday's image.

This image carries a greater impact than the last coloured shot IMO, the B and W presentation and post processing both adding to this effect, Mark.
The big sky and cloud patterns make for a more eye catching shot too.

Can't add anything to Ronnie's comment with which I agree.

Mark, even before reading your commentary, I was thinking that I really liked the detail in the building -- so, you processing works for me.

I am so very glad you did Mark, a really beautiful and well processed monochrome, which I must say I rather admire.

Excellent mono and processing.
From what I've seen of Silver Efex Pro
it seems to do a sterling job.
