You'd need a red ball too to play a round in those conditionsWink.
How well the flag stands out on the intersections of thirds on tis snow bound course.

Beautiful landscape image, the form of the snow covered land works so well with the cloud and light in the sky, placement and colour of the flag are perfect, with only subtle colour elsewhere in the image.

A stunning image, bleak and icy cold. The addition of the red flag takes it to a higher level. Very impressive indeed.

Amazing what a difference a year makes and I'm certaiin the same image today would be very different. This is a fantastic image Alan Grin but if I was to nit pick the red flag just over the horizon line would have been my composition.

Hope you don't mind the comment

No snow golfing at Crimdon today; that would be a red flag to a Bill BlushBlushBlush
Should hang my head in shame.
Very different - and why not?

Of course I don't mind, Eric. And I agree it would've been better that way. Still learning Wink

Nearly a year ago - this year is very different.
Given that we think of the world as being really quite a colourful place, it's amazing how brash and exhibitionist mankind's splashes of colour can look in it.
I agree with Eric about the height of the flag in the frame. Problem is, that means getting down low. And then getting back up again afterwards...

Very true Moira and in my case the creaking noise would put the golfers off their strokes WinkWink

Just a short 9 iron GrinGrin
The sky paints the image with snow and the stalwart golfers will slow their pace around the course, seeking new hiding laces for their wayward white balls.

Beautifully composed with the raking light showing every contour of the land.
The flag is perfect against the horizon and sky.

Now this does resonate with me, Alan.... (oops mobile phone was on vibrate!! Tongue)

Fantastic sky and perfect splash of red. One hell of a sand bunker though.

Wot, no golfers?
Definitely a red ball day, Alan!!SmileSmile
A fine 'on the thirds' composition.
That sky looks onimous!

I must admit that I go through other photos of yours faster when I know there are beach shots ahead.
These are spectacular, Alan!
Like this shot - thought it was the sea at first - the red flag defines it.
