The Refuge

By pdove
From some time spent on Holy Island a couple of weeks ago. The box on stilts is a refuge for anyone caught out by the tide when walking St Cuthbert's Way. This is marked by the line of poles. I know that mono images are not too popular on epz but feel that the image is all about the lines and the many diagonals in the landscape and prefer to not confuse it with colour.

Thanks for c&c on recent uploads,

Regards,
Phil

Excellent, atmospheric.
Another bunch of idiots were rescued from the refuge today, they had started to drive across an hour and a quarter after the causeway had closed...

A good choice for mono in my opinion, and nicely done. Perhaps even more contrast would be even more effective, but I'm not sure. Looks good as is.

Super composition, with the diminishing line of poles framed within the stilts of the refuge. Perfect in mono.
