That was my thought, makes archery and pistol shooting awkward too.

For those who haven't noticed, her right eye is open but the view finder is on the opposite side of the camera. ( Ontop) Wink

It's making me think hard about whether I close my left eye when shooting...

A perfectly valid way to hold a camera with her right hand - though her left isn't giving al lthe support it might, as she's resting hte camera on it instead of gripping it - presumably because fo whatever she's holding - a hankie?

The big relief is that she's got the lens hood on, and the right way round! Also a relief that I don't have a thundering big camera with a massive zoom lens on it!

Strange place to hang the washing. Let alone photograph it John.

A girl's dress is her subject.
She might be on a second or third attempt shooting it after chimping.
Finalising the details I suppose. Never seen anyone resting the camera on their forehead but thumps up for keeping an open eye. I remember with pocket film cameras and film SLR's when shooting street photography in portrait framing left eye scanned the scene before one entered the framed scene.

What I understand from the version is that this is the dress of a child soon to be baptised (Orthodox Christian children get baptised quite early in life), hence the crosses at the windows and her orientation on the main frame. Those windows must have been acting as background, connecting the church with the purpose of the dress. Good thinking there.

Love it John. Love the the title. Cathy
I like her style re holding the camera to keep it steady her aim to photograph the dress is not with out difficulty the backdrop being the main issue .
Itís a great image full to the brim with happiness for the forthcoming Christening.
