The Road to Thingvellir

Many thanks for all the votes and comments on my previous upload and special thanks to all those who thought it worthy of their much valued UAs. It is all greatly appreciated. Today's image is taken along our route to Thingvellir Nation Park in Iceland. I just loved the isolation of the little yellow house. Our journey in Iceland has been tricky at times, with near zero visibility, gale force winds and road closures to deal with but I guess that's Iceland in winter! You definitely need to keep a close eye on the weather forecast and status of the roads.

Great image. Similar to when we went to the North Cape in winter. Our tour bus followed a snow plow to the Cape and back to the ship. Cars are not allowed at the cape in winter. In summer you can't find a parking spot!
