The Roadsweeper and The Roadster

Truly amazed by the response to yesterday's Petronas upload, so special thanks indeed to Alfie P for his very kind GE award, and to Malc, Mile, Leo, Alfie K, Lory, Janet and John for their equally kind UAs - and, of course, much appreciation to everyone else for their votes, comments and interest.

Today's offering has a splash more colour about it, celebrating the vibrancy of Seville where it was taken. I uploaded a different version of this last year showing the tile panel only, one I had taken while I was waiting for the shopkeeper to disappear - but on reflection it seems to me that the image with him in it adds a touch of context and scale, so here it is.

Photos of wall art can make beautiful uploads, and worth seeing, but I do feel they tend to be simply records of someone else's creativity. On the other hand, adding a counterpoint to that art transforms it into something new and original, as here. The fact he is smartly suited seems very appropriate, dressing for the occasion of the splendid day out in the artwork. Also, the splashes of lime green add extra vitality. A well crafted image, Bob.

This works so well, and just wouldn't have the same impact without the sweeper.
