'The Rock"

By RonnieAG
Winter view of Dumbarton Rock (a volcanic plug) and Castle seen from the southern shore of the Firth of Clyde, and with snow covered Ben Lomond (the most southerly of the Munros) in the misty far distance right.
An icy wind was blowing and after 10 minutes my hands were so cold I could hardly feel the buttons on the camera........so didn't tarry and headed off home mighty quickly.

My thanks to all who commented on Identity Mural.

Ronnie.

Cold but clear. A nice gap through the gorse into the image, Ronnie. The Ben mirrors the rock well.

The trees make for a great aperture allowing the viewers eye to focus on the interesting geological formation in the distance. Wonderfully interesting and so very well captured Ronnie.

Colourful for a winter sea scene.
Interesting and attractive.
I became aware of all these ancient volcanic plugs during my
Autumn holiday to East Lothian.

A fine shot of this 'volcanic plug' Ronnie. Hope it isn't going to blow any time soon. Grin

The gorse makes a perfect foreground for the Clyde and Dumbarton Rock Ronnie.
Beautifully composed sharp image.
I can sympathise with the cold hands - I can't concentrate if my fingers become too cold.
