The Rush II

By marktc
A little cooler than the last one from this shoot...

I'm really, really struggling with my photography at the minute, work pressures mean I can't trig very far, so new subject matter is difficult to find, my images don't seem to satisfy me (or anyone else) and I'm fresh out of ways to change things round... so much so that I'm actually considering giving it up completely...

Anyway... thanks to all those that clicked, commented, voted or awarded my last upload it is very much appreciated.

Try looking closer at hand, at details. If that doesn't appeal, put your camera away for a while, even a few months if necessary... it's no big deal, and it's worked for me in the past. It's no use trying to force it, but hey it's not the end of the world... Donald Trump notwithstanding.Grin

Thanks both.... I'm not worried about being forgotten, I barely upload these days as is. It's that loss of satisfaction and not knowing how to put it right... Maybe you are right Alan, putting the camera down for a few weeks/months is the best thing to do... Thanks for taking the time to reply

Excellent shot! I know what you mean, I sometimes struggle to find subjects to photograph. Easier when your say on holiday with new & hopefully interesting subject matter but at home .... I'm thinking of joining a local photography club; might me an option? Either way, I wouldn't worry too much, not everyone needs to shoot every day/week; I certainly don't Wink

Stunning image Mark and don't you dare give up photography - you're probably striving for perfection. I'm sure you'll get your self going again when time permits.
Glad you're working - remember when you were looking for a job!

I really like this, Mark. The reflection in the wet sand and wave movement work really well within your comp.
I think we all hit the wall at some time or other. It's important, I think, to take shots that you want to take and reflect your interpretation of the elements at the time. You do this really well Mark. I have always admired your ability to simplify the elements of a scene so effectively and strikingly.
