The Scarborough Flyer

By Alan_Baseley
A shot of yesterday's Scarborough Flyer as it passes through Ravensthorpe.
Although the train still had a diesel behind the Duchess the steam engine seemed to be doing most of the work.

A very well observed and captured image Alan. However I feel that the bridge distracts ones eye from the real star of the show.

A good B&W shot, Alan.
I agree with you that the steam engine was doing some of the work. I will be putting my shot on site this evening of the Flyer coming out of the tunnel at Marsden. The duchess came out of the tunnel very slowly and with very little exhaust, but then she suddenly belched and smoke and steam poured out of her as she pulled away very strongly down the slope into Huddersfield.

Just a bit of ''belt and braces'' approach here Alan,
