I want to thank you again for accompanying me and Madam Elf on our journey last week. This weeks assignment is a bit less exciting. We are assigned insects, creepy crawlies and wild life. Since insects are practically non existent in Maine in mid winter, it was a bit of a challenge. Lady bugs, however, are around the house in very annoying numbers. This little lady landed on my thread as I was sewing, so I grabbed the camera and took a shot (handheld) before she decided to fly away.

Excellent capture with a non-specialist lens. The light shining off this one is great.
All versions of these creatures here have predominantly black heads, I think.

A decidedly unique and original shot Joline! I really like this. Lucky you to have ladybirds in your house - keeps those pesky aphids under control.
