The shadow on the floor

By Saastad
This picture is taken in one of my cities galleries. This exhibition was about death. But in this room it was the shadow on the floor that was most interesting for my photoeye. I almost have to climb the wall to get this picture, but i got it with my 14mm.
I have played a lot with this picture lately, so if you like this one, i will show you the two other versions. One is very minimalistic with all the pictures taken down. In the third version, i have put this picture on the wall in the naked room. Hope you enjoy. I think It is difficult to pic pictures when you are new on a site like this. You never know what people like or dont like.
Wish you all a lovely day!
And thanks a lot to all of you that vote, comment and award my pictures. Much appreciated!

Really like this. The geometry of the the frames and the walls/floor lines is fascinating and beautifully composed with the light form the window almost juxtaposed against that line up.

I really like this Arne, less is definitely more and the shadow on the floor just gives it that finishing touch. Good shot.

Arne I would very much like to see the other versions. This one with the angles and mono shades really appeals to me.

I like to see all different kinds of images. It helps me to create more interesting ones myself. I like to learn from others photo images and techniques.

Thank you so much for lovely comment Janet. Well i love to see all kind of photos too. And it is not nessesary the best photographers that give me good ideas. So i really try to look at all the pictures i can go true.Well we will se if it will be more. I can see so far that colorphotos give more respons than black and white.

Love the viewpoint and geometric shapes in this wide angle shot Arne. And the shadow just adds to the overall effect. Excellent.

a striking image well taken and presented
and being a last-in-the-line amateur in photography, i am guided by a simple rule: my pictures should be neatly done and not too boring to look at
after all, we are here to have a little fun for ourselves and get a little praise from the others

Perhaps the essential is for you to show us what you like, Arne. Quality photos like this will attract an admiring audience!
For me, a little originality is key, a preparedness to make your audience think, which shows that you are thinking too. This kind of minimalism is much appreciated, and I certainly look forward to seeing more!

This is difficult image to compose like you say, short of climbing up a 6ft ladder and hoping you get the angles right in some respects nigh on impossible .
But you pulled it off with persistence I like the minimalist style the gallery has adopted and your reflection
adds to,it beautifully.

This works for me for three reasons. First, b&w which is perfect processing for the subject matter. Second, we don't see the source of the light causing the floor art. Third, the almost naked walls.

Window not shown, but very much a part of this intriguing scene. Does not look like a gallery, judging from where the pictures are hanging. The viewer is left wondering why they are where they are.
2 May 2019 8:32PM
Thanks a lot for fine comment Robert. My thougt's in my head, was that the picture would be better without showing the windows. The idea behind the picture was to show the shadow, and not that the pictures was on a gallery. You know that art, shall make people wondering Robert Smile
