The silent Piapia

In principle, they are the birds version of a meerkat, looking out for us and other potential danger such as the zopilote circling above.

PIAPIA is a jay, aptly named for her warcry PIAAAPIIA. I took it seconds before the daily monsoon or LLUVIAS coming down, She had just found shelter under a suitable brolly tree.


Many thanks to all who commented on my flutterby. Jenn is right, it might have been a bit bright but then some of them are even in daylight.
Still got to get to grips with that flash, it is all manual and needs to be adjusted by hand.
