The Mercedes-Benz W125 was a Grand Prix racing car designed by Rudolf Uhlenhaut to race during the 1937 Grand Prix season. They reached race speeds of well over 300 km/h (190 mph) in 1937 which was incredible considering that modern F1 cars have top speeds not much higher. There was little thought to safety in those days so I have complete admiration for the drivers in the day.
Driven by Martin Viessmann the photo was taken at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
