I remember my granny having one similar to this, and same brand. It was incorporated into a table with sets of drawers either side, and had a treddle near the floor in the centre to operate it. When not in use, it folded down so the whole top could be used as a table 😃

Takes me back to the days of the 1940's when the radio, books and hobbies were normal - no televisions. Saturdays were a treat - mussels with bread and marg (butter being rationed) at Grandma's home. Mother played the piano, we read books, Grandma on the Singer treadle sewing machine making or repairing clothes. Such things are past memories and your picture recalls them to my mind.
