It's a hit-and-miss technique, but wonderfully satisfying when it works. It creates an intimidating, overbearing feel. This is a bit over-sharpened for my taste, it shows particularly in the foliage and the Hot & Cold Drinks sign, but I covet it.

Very well done, Paul. Excellent clarity and sharpness. (The top of the tree can be sorted by blur tool easily.. I think it was caused by resizing).
I was in Cambridge yesterday, I didn't know it was graduation day, when I saw a few students in academic dress passing by from the opposite street, I gave a blind click, it didn't work.(S200;F9),it was blurred.. it seemed that if both parties were on the move, S200 is not enough. So you did very well...
