The Sound Panoramic

By WeeGeordieLass
A shot of The Sound on the Isle of Man.

I thought this scene would be a good opportunity for me to try producing a panoramic image.

I took 10 overlapping images with my camera set on Manual mode to ensure consistent exposure. I took the images on portrait mode and had my camera on a tripod, then merged the shots in Elements 10.

I'd appreciate any critique, in particular could I have done anything different.

Thanks for looking

Elaine Grin

Hi Elaine, for me nice enough photo, but I believe the shot should have been the island/fishing boat, have uploaded a mod to show you what I mean.

The foreground takes center stage, when maybe the shot might have been around the area of the Lighthouse and Fishing Boat??

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the mod - it looks great and much better with the foreground cropped out.
