'The Standing Order'

By TrevBatWCC
On Sunday I went with Lynne (LynneJoyce) to Derby to meet up with Ann Chambers Hancock (Canadiann). Took a few piccies in the town centre before meeting her in here, Wetherspoons pub 'The Standing Order'. The building had previously been a bank, and as you can see, is very lovely inside - I wish our Wetherspoons pub here in Wakefield was as delightful as this! V1 was taken just after entering the pub, and V2 looking back towards the entrance. Just processed the Raw file, and tweaked the sliders a little, other than that, they're more or less straight out of the camera.

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Excellent Trev that's some pub. We sometimes go to Harkers in York and I believe that used to be a bank and it retains some of the original features

Hope you all had a great time - I had been invited but couldn't make it. It looks a wonderful setting but gives the impression of needing to whisper inside WinkWinkWink

It's a beautiful building. But not exactly atmospheric the way a pub should be.
Fantastic detail. Smile

Made me think that this should be the eatery/watering hole in a Great Western Railway station, Trev.
Excellent images.

I share Malc's opinion on this, Trev. It is certainly imposing enough for a main line Railway station. Quality photographs.
Another organisation that has good taste in buildings is Waterstones. They had two in Newcastle; unfortunately they chose to dispose of the more interesting one Sad

You have captured these interior shots with your customary skill and panache, Trev: such interesting subjects, and there's so much detail to take in.
Hope you had a nice time with Ann,........I know she has not been posting on site here for some time.
