She is a beautiful and moving subject, and I guess you didn't want to embarrass her by taking too much time over this one, but it doesn't work as well as yesterday's for me. Normally what I enjoy in your street portraits is the respectful distance that you allow your subjects, and the very careful placement within a composition of lines. Here you have gone in much closer and at an angle. I really would like to step back a bit.

Plus the cut-off goat doesn't add as much as it detracts for me.

I've uploaded a modification - rotated, cropped to square which generally suits head & upper body portraits. It's more conventional but I think it's also more about the lady, less about how you took the shot. The crop loses her foot, but keeps the linked hands, they are important. It also allows her open space to look into, unimpeded by a goat's legs.

I also lightened very slightly on her face and hands. Not a big change there - with light like this you are always going to have massive contrast, it's part of the package!

I would be interested in what you think of the modification - it seems to me to be more your style, apart perhaps from the crop. But I may be wrong.

Thanks, and I'm sorry if I misinterpreted. I guess you were looking for a more informal image. I think what doesn't work for me is the angle (she is tilting backwards, which looks unbalanced), combined with the fact that we are looking down at her. But it's good to try something different.

Best if her foot want missing, - as you already know.

Sometime portrait orientation (even tilted) will work best for a portrait.

Good work, but I have to agree regarding the amputation of her foot and the decapitation of the goatSmile

Nice image and two things could have made it much better. First never cut off limbs unless your taking a portrait image. Second in a image like this it tells a story, so move back a little and include that story in the image.

Just ideas...
