v2 definitely an improved version with the solid ground. V1, the rhino, is superb. Great texture on the skin, a ruddy brown colour harmony throughout the image, and the threatening sky emphasises the latent power of the beast.

Must have taken some effort transporting that critter all the way to the "Plains", Carol. This works really well though and there is no concern re. the light which cropped up yesterday.
As for V 2, it is a striking image, but I am not sure that the light direction problem has been solved, nor can I imagine a way in which you could.
I must come back later to see if anyone can offer any help there......I'm afraid I can't.

Thanks Ronnie - I did try to darken down the front light but this was as far as I could take it without losing all the definition. An annoying problem that I hope someone may be able to solve for me!

Would love to see a whole series of these put together - beautifully done and V2 is an improvement on the lighting situation and as you say not sure you could take it much further without loosing definition. The rhino is just superb..Jo

The Rhino shot is absolutely stunning - a real sense of power and strength. I love the warmth of the light and the stormy sky really adds drama.

Another good bit of work here and a cracking good shot of the Rhino skin has real texture. V2 dont thin you have solved the issue that some had with the light

Hi Graham,
I know, I have tried the best I could and am hoping that someone could make some suggestions as to what I can do.

An answer to V2 would be to crop the animals to just below the front ones body.

i prefer giraffe version 1... its obviously been manipulated .. so does it matter about the confusion with the lighting? ... fill in flash indeed Smile

wow there is so much detail in this one and it looks so so good, and v2 is an improvement on your previous as they now have floor space which makes it more realistic.
