The Struggling Light of Buttermere

This was take in Buttermere, Lake District on a pretty miserable rainy afternoon, fortunately these are my favourite times to photograph as there is a lot more drama in the landscape. Walking around the lake suddenly a cloud parted to reveal this warm glow on the mountain. The trip to the Lake District was probably one of the better shoots so far.

Changeable weather always results in more dramatic images than had the sun been shining, but here there is just enough sunlight falling on the lower slopes of High Crag to give this atmospheric shot a little 'punch'.
