The Sun Always Shines - -

By MrsS
- - - on the righteous
(Well it is SAINT Michael's Mount!)

YIPPEEEE!!!!

Friday at last! And THREE whole days off! Wink

This was taken on last year's holidays when I didn't possess a 10 stopper, and as the Boss and "TheW" were sharing MrS's, I was reduced to cobbling together all my filters to make as big a number as I could (I think I got
up to 6.5)
Wink

So - no smooth water but I thought the sky and the starkness of the Mount against it made this worth a B&W conversion - see what you think.

I have got a bit of great news today too - Robert White have used one of my images as their Photo of the Week - just scroll down the page to see it in all its glory! Wink

Thanks for dropping in - hope you have a great Bank Holiday weekend whatever you get up to Smile

Cheers!
Fran x

Now that looks like a little lighthouse peeking over the mount... Tongue

A very nice shot - with some stunning details in the sky! I would like to see colour though too Grin It's nice to compare

The colour version is unlikely to make an appearance as I feel it doesn't work too well - but thanks for asking Smile

Thanks too for your comments about my Shot of the Week - feels good Smile

Like this Fran - just enough f/g interest and a nicely dramtic sky. Beautifully composed image.

I like this a lot Fran. It has that simplicity of comp and tonality to make a great mono. Looked at your RW Photo of the Week. Well deserved.

Fran, I am (pleasantly) surprised, you're a B&Wist too!.....& a great one it is, with a lovely tonal range, & those heavy clouds adding a nice mood...nice one.

Keith, you really don't want to know about my B&W conversion skills! Wink

I love 'em, but I'm rubbish at 'em! Smile
