The Tail Lift

A Southern Right Whale showing off a graceful tail lift just off the coast of Hermanus in South Africa. Southern Right Whales are typically the third largest species of whales and in terms of mass a full grown whale is the equivalent of approximately 6 fully grown African bull elephants. It was an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to get up close to these graceful giants.
