The tower

By gary_d
Staying with the tunnel theme which may puzzle you until I explain that this is one of a few towers along the top of the tunnel that were used to remove the smoke and steam created by the loco's that travelled through them

V2 is the same tower viewed looking up from with in the tunnel.

Regards. - Gary

They could be very smokey without the towers Gary.
It is actually quite rare to see them surviving.
Good shots.

A very photogenic tower In V1 and excellent POV in V2.
Never thought about where steam or smoke might go from a train in a tunnel - interesting.

Both great images. But seeing inside, V2, is not something we get to see usually. So I find it very impressive.
