The Usual Suspects

By WhiteRose1
The Shwezigon Pagoda is a Buddhist temple located near Bagan, in Burma (Myanmar). It is a prototype of Burmese stupas, and consists of a circular gold leaf-gilded stupa surrounded by smaller temples and shrines. Completed in 1102 AD, it is believed to enshrine a bone and tooth of Gautama Buddha.

I spend a fair few minutes capturing various people walking across whilst fending off a persistent woman trying to sell me postcards.

Iso200, 1/200sec, f13 @ 28mm.

Your response to my Blacksmith was very appreciated, B&W is unusual for me and I'd never tried selective colouring before.

You have combined the various elements of this image very well, Dave. The symmetry of the pillars and the lattice work, the gold of the temple and, not least, the humanity of the implied humour of the priest and his 'followers'.
