The Vital Spark on Loch Fyne.

By Tooma
This shot is looking north east across Loch Fyne from Inveraray, and features the Vital Spark, the last of the Clyde Puffers, of The Para Handy Tales fame, moored beside another classic vessel, and they both formed the Inveraray Maritime Museum, complete with a tea-room aboard the larger craft. The other vessel is the Arctic Penguin,
a 3-masted Schooner built in 1911.
Sadly, due to the pier being allowed to fall into an unsafe condition, it has been closed for the past 3-4 years.
V1 is a B&W of the same shot with a soft vignette added.

Classic seaside images, no choice both are pleasing

Tea on a schooner would be lovely!

The mono version just shades it for me. Well composed images with beautiful scenery in the background.

Lovely image, Tom. I like both, but do think the colour adds something here, especially the splashes of red. Fascinating about The Vital Spark; I vaguely remember the series but thought it was an imaginary craft. Allan

Sad to see that the old crafts are not being cared for. We can forget our history so much. At least you have captured it well
