The White-throated Sparrow

By taggart
The White-throated Sparrow
Zonotrichia albicollis. 6-7 inches. male and female appear the same

The White-throats are ground feeders who will also come to feeders for nuts, seeds insects and fruit. They prefer to nest near or on the the ground especially in conifer forests or fields.
NOTE: The White-throated Sparrow is easily identified by their bright yellow patches or lores.

This one presented a very formal pose--- unusual as they are very active!
