A very busy and large space, Kath. Looks quiet and peaceful, as an image I think I preferred the crop. Am not good with crowds, so respect folk who are. Quite a lot of folk here wearing orange, a nice bright colour. Very good image.

Thank you for your clicks and comments and your award John. I am no a fan of crowds but it is a large space and there was a lot of free space, especially on the balconies. Andy wondered if the vibrancy of colour would win out over the focus of the mono, I still think it depends on the type of subject. This wide angle colour shot gives a feel of the bustle and the festival but I liked the mono for the candid.

Thanks Kath, very interesting comparison - I’d like to be there with a large chocolate and vanilla ice cream (camera safely in the bag). I think I like the colour (well I would say that!) but I think it could do with about a half stop lift in exposure which would give more vibrancy. That’s VIBRANCY WITH A CAPITAL V but not overblown! Just a warm, colourful happy summers day! Andy
