The Wine Cellar

By chase
Just messing about with a couple of mucky old bottles and some Pomegranates.

Yep, it's another dark one from me but cellars are dark places Wink

Lit by daylight.
A 3 frame HDR image, combined in lightroom and faffed with in Photoshop.

Thanks for taking the time to get here.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.

All you need is a little sautéed liver to go with that Janet! Love it!

Have a good weekend.

Wonderful to have your UA Kath, thank you.

I must admit to never having sautéed liver with Pomegranates but there is always a first time Wink

No , not too dark Janet. the fresh red pomegranates stand out well and contrast with the dusty cobwebby bottles, I love way you have used the plasterless bit of wall to frame the subject.

A proper cellar shouldn't have daylight, and it should be sound-proofed. Don't want the neighbours getting curious and nosy now, do we?Wink
Have you left those bottles to 'mature' ready for this type of image, or are they artificial cobwebs, applied for the occasion?
Really excellent work well done

Real cobwebs Malc, it has taken me quite some time to 'grow' them in my garage. I left the Spiders to mature the rest of the bottles I have collected Wink
I don't have neighbours, well, not very close by so party time are me !! Smile Smile

Thanks all.

'In these all-white courtyards where the south wind blows
Whistling through vaulted arcades, tell me, is it the mad pomegranate tree?'

I believe, in this case, it is...

P.S. And I bet that background wasn't grown there...

Do I detect a tendency towards Chianti and broad beans?
Superb!

The darkness such as it is Janet works so well with the subdued palette of colours.
