Then and Now

By FotoDen
Soon after we moved to Malmö, Sweden, Västra Hamnen (Western Harbor), which used to be a shipbuilding site, was slated to become a residential development. One of the structures under construction was Turning Torso, a futurist skyscraper, designed by Antonio Calatrava. It was completed in 2005, is 190 meters high, with a total of 54 stories and a 90° twist from base to top.
The black and white photo (2004) was taken during construction with my old Fuji FinePix S5000. The colour image (2015) was taken when new apartments were being built in Västra Hamnen.

I wonder if they took an elevator to get to the top, or did they climb all the way.
