Ther's sumpin naarsty in the Woodshed

By Mavis
As soon as I saw this pile of wood waiting to be stored in the woodshed I thought of those famous lines from Cold Comfort Farm ! Smile It was a grey day without much light . My new camera had just arrived before I went for my saturday hairdo. So these few images are just trying it out before I go for my first jaunt of the year Wink

ISO 200 f5.6 @ 1/50th sec. Handheld

You've made a good start with the new camera. I hope it continues to work well.
PS. Looks like the downpipe from the gutter is broken - maybe to keep the wood wet, LOL.

lovely images - I will be watching closely as I got a G11 a few weeks ago as a "take everywhere" camera to save carrying my SLR when we go for long walks or just pop out somewhere in the car. Unfortunately Norman has had flu so we haven't been out and I'm working 6 days next week so I haven't really tried it yet.

Bill thinks we have, that will be a little hunt later today. We organised the books a few years ago but they're back to chaos again...

I know how you feel Moira . I decide I have far too many books and put a boxfull by the back door for some-one to take to Oxfam or such like and then a couple of year's later I go hunting for it, forgetting I chucked it out !!

Three lovely captures Mavis. I've had the G7 for a few years now. I really like it as a smallish camera. Nice one to take anywhere. To grab quick when rushing out the door. Lots of great features too. I'm sure your new one has lots more too............Sandy

Do we congratulate you or Canon Mavis? These are superb shots, moreso considering you were using a camera you're unfamiliar with. The main attraction with this camera is it allows shooting RAW, but I see you didn't use that feature!

Thanks Jim . My G9 shot Raw too . I stopped using it as I'm not going to be printing great big posters . Like all the other refinements on this Camera, only 10 pixels for better colour,f2.8, flip out screen for akward places, anti camera shake, and a port for a remote cord , lovely .
Thank you for liking these shots, I hope to do better. Very frosty here but sun shining fit to bust xxx
