There's Only One So It's Mono

By DaveRyder
Following on from yesterday upload and as suggestion by Robert.

When I took this I only really considered colour output.
However prompted by Robert (Robert51), and his suggestion that it was really suited to a B&W conversion, I've passed the image through Nik Silver Efex and uploaded 5 version which all have there merits.

These are simply an output for the selected filter without further tweaking;
Lead - Silhouette
V1 - High Contrast
V2 - Full Dynamic
V3 - High Structure
V4 - Low Key

So yes, suggestion was spot on. Quite nice conversions.
Thanks Robert.

I agree Dave - all work for me. Just down to personal taste.

I much prefer this, good processing for the textures. All work for me but I'll go with the main upload for clean simplicity.

V4 for me Dave. Good to see the different results for each filter!

They all work Dave, but I prefer V4 and the lead. The low key treatment gives more weight to the structure and keeps the deep perspective; the lead has a desolate air in its stark simplicity. The others are a bit ordinary in comparison, tho still good.

great to see various options in B&W.
my preferred one would be option 4..for me it has the closest resemblance of a timber frame.

and i am allowed to make this 30 clicks too. What a day.....Grin

I'm rather partial to the lightness of v3. NIce work.
