They're called 'wreaths' for a reason...

By dudler
Torn from my darkroom untimely early yesterday morning to attach twelve Christmas wreaths to the top of twelve pillars at church.

I should explain that when I use a shorter ladder to put up the muslin up over the windows in our fromt room for high key images, Mrs D warns me about heights. On this occasion, she'd volunteered me...

It struck me that this is the very stuff of Silly Sunday.

Footnote: very good and solid stepladder: someone had clearly thought about the design, and carefully avoided the way that most ladders have a convenient grip point just where two parts will scissor together when closing them up.

Footnote 2: ignore the EXIF on date and time. The internal backup battery in the camera is flat, and it resets time and date every time you switch the thing on.

For this type of assignment I tend to favour a dining chair and the heel of a shoe. Which is why Bill doesn't often let me loose...

Is it an Irish stepladder (or Swedish if you live in Scandinavia) with 'STOP HERE' on the top step?Wink

There is, in fact, a label on the front of the third step from the top instructing the user not to stand on this step, or higher... Which is not quite the same thing, but indicates the possibility of a silly person using the thing...
It's Christmas, but careful you don't get a ladder in your stocking

A tripod and a self timer? or is there an 'secret' photographer lurking
in the church SmileSmile.
Looking forward to the pictures of the fully decorated scene.
Like those windows in the background.
Happy health and safety Sunday.

I was given an assistant to hold the ladder. As the ladder was sound, I asked her to hold a cmaera instead...
