For me the water looks good in all three Johanna, I don't like milky water, just a bit of movement to show that the water is running. I like V2 probably the best some nice greenery around the stream, nicely composed and presented.

All the very best my friend,

Hi Freda,
V4 was thought to show the forest as it is, with dying trees and lovely new greenery around them.

Yes,well done.
As Dougie says the water is not overdone giving a feeling of it rushing down with the sound as well.
I like No 1 for those great trees.
Did you try a portrait showing more of their height.

I first met the idea of leaving a forest to fend for itself when we were walking in the Saarland last year - a reversion to the European Urwald, I approve 100%. And I'm sure that Robert will approve of these photos as I do. #1 is especially well composed though I have a sneaking preference for the tones of #2.

For me personally you have captured the water perfectly.
I don't like this milky stuff, as I never actually see water like that.
I think the greenery is wonderful...I can almost smell it.
You have done a fantastic job.
Well done.

What I like about Roberts images is not so much the water, but all the surrounding rocky, grassy, mossy, woody detail he includes. You have done the same here Johanna,so I think it is a super set !!!

well - I tried myself for a blurred shot of water several times over and I changed the setting on my camera but all the time they came out overexposed and each pic I tried it got worse and worse - SO - I consider you got it right and did very well

Johanna, I am most partial to v3. You have captured the serenity of the place - these kind of spots deep in the forest with lovely sounds of water are my favorites. In v3 you have managed the exposure so well and caught some of the dappled light.
In v1 the water is a bit white for me - this is probably a burnt out area - something we all struggle with with the digital cameras!

I like them all, and I am not just being polite. But I think I like the first the most because I like so much green and the moss covered stones and the movement. Probably because everything is so brown and dry here. Nicely done and presented.
