Thistleamazeyou!

By Fefe
...well it amazed me!
Taken at Spurn last weekend.......I have never seen a thistle like it. V2 is the full mutant flower head and V3 a normal flower on the same plant with a visitorGrin
This amazing thistle must have measured at least nine or ten inches in height and five or so across. There were two of these beast's on the one plant!
Hope you are as amazed as me.....or maybe I have been going around with my eyes shutTongueWink........actually I have been a bit tired of lateWinkTongueTongue

A great big thankyou to all for C&C on my last upload that seems ages agoSad and a special thankyou to Jukka "Kuvailija and Peter "Mollycat" for their lovely UA'sGrinGrinGrinGrin

My initial thought was............ how on earth did she get that close with that lens and then I read your narrative, So you've been playing with monsters Daine, can't say I have seen one that big, perhaps it is a baby Triffid, just waiting for its opportunity to strke GrinGrinGrinTongue

Well thought out title for this amazing bit of natural floral aberration: I have never seen anything like it.
And very well captured in V 1 and 2, with the normal flower in V 3.
