Ooh I like... Empty chairs in groups always seem to have a life of their own, watching and waiting.
I wish the ball was a bit lower in the frame compositionally, but story-wise the placement in front of the chairs works. I'm seeing a job interview ('So tell me, what makes you think that you are suitable for the position of ball at this club'?)or even When did you last see your father?

Those chairs do look a bit threatening, marching in rank towards the ball.

I'm agreeing with Moira, I think I'd have had to move that ball.
This is simple and yet so effective, evoking all sorts of comments and captions.
The chair shadows are strong, and the chairs are set so beautifully in a row, behind the white line, which lies nicely on a diagonal. And, of course, three is an excellent number for photography compositionsGrin.

I don't think the players would have been too pleased with me if I'd moved the ball!!

Another fine composition, Philip, I think the image would look even stronger with a slight crop off the bottom of the image.
Nice work my friend.
