Threesome

By WeeGeordieLass
I got it into my head one day to photograph some cherries - don't ask me why..............anyway this is the result!

I've no idea what the reaction will be to this shot - I don't even know how I feel about it myself.

I like it's simplicity, but I'm not sure how the processing will be viewed.

I'd be grateful for any opinions and honesty on this shot. I'm sure if it's rubbish I'll be told so!

Cheers

Elaine

Hi Elaine
The reflections in the cherries gave me an idea for a "metallic" mod.

Couldn't resist a little play with this one ................ Jenni
Hi Jenni,

I love this textured background, and the shadows you've put in.

My shot looks quite boring in comparison.

Thanks for taking the time to do a mod - I think my shot needs some more work to lift it a bit.

Nothing wrong with what you have done although I wonder at the lens choice - made things harder for yourself. Content? Case of do you like it or not - purely subjective. Not something I would have taken but can see the simplicity and appeal.

Nice, but perhaps a little too symmetrical and stalks too parallel for my taste. That's just my preference though. I'd like to upload a mod with the right-hand cherry leaning to the left and spaced a bit further away maybe, but since I'm not an e2 member it won't let me download the original.

Ah that's a shame Steve - I'd have liked to see your mod with the alternative composition.

Sounds interesting though - the next time I get the urge to shoot some cherries (or something similar) I'll certainly try your idea.

Thanks for taking the time to share your opinions - much appreciated.

Hi Keith,

Thanks for taking the time to comment - I'm glad you like the shot.

I agree that I need to finish the image off with a background - and Jenni's looks great.

Hi Paul,

I used that lens because it has a macro option on it, and I wanted to get as close to the cherries as possible.

I tried my other lens but this was the better image.

Thanks for commenting.
