Tidal Basin

By AnthonyM
This is the season of the cherry blossom festival in Washington DC. This photo was taken at the tidal basin near the heart of Washington DC . This has the most concentrated display of these trees in the area. Given to the US by the Japanese in 1912, the gift of 3000 cherry trees now fills the tidal basic with pink blossoms this time of year.

Any comments or criticism are welcome.

Great composition - love those pink blossoms for that extra touch. Great job.

Brilliant composition. Only thing wrong that I can spot is that it seems a little over exposed in the sky (at the right). Maybe a ND grad filter would help, or even more simple, just use the burn tool in photoshop to target the highlights in that region.

The composition is excellent, using the natural frame to full effect. CLICK
