Tigridia Pavonia (Tiger Flower) with Fuchsia behind it.

By Canonshots
It was my wife who pointed out that the Fuchsia would make a nice background for a Tigridia picture and I have tried to take advantage of it with this shot.

Beautiful exotic looking flower. The fuchsias in the background do complement it. Debs

Not one that I have seen before, but would love to have in my garden. I have read that the flowers only last for a day, but produce several new buds, just like daylilies. I like the way the fuchsias' colour is echoed in the centre of the tiger flower, and the two small central petals look like birds' heads.
