Time is Ticking down

Seen this huge Clock in a shop window in Poole Dorset , My thoughts were is it for all the men to see that the clock is ticking down to get the wifes xmas present before the big day ? Grin or is it a thing to tell us the shops will be closed for 2 days over xmas ?
Could it be telling us time is running out ????
