brilliant! no other words to describe such a fantastic piece of work.

Very nice. I thought it was black & white in the thumbnail - would look good in b&w. Love the classic backlit layering with the mist, and the figure is the cherry on top.

It seems to be let down technically - I don't know if it's the resizing, sharpening or what, but it's very blocky with artifacts around all the edges.

I'm also slightly niggled by the crop on the right, as if I either want to see the land all the way into the sea, or cropped further in so I can't see the sea at all.

The lines and layers here are well composed in the frame. This is a very atmospheric shot. Great work.

I am absolutely astounded at the response to this image. To get a HC is unbelievable. It was more or less a point and click shot, Just a tweek to the contrast and sharpness and that was it.
Thanks to all of you who commented and clicked I'm over the moon.
Ruth.

A beautiful shot. A huge amount of it's charm comes from those misty layers dropping away to the sea.
Stunning. Well worth the HC.

Can't add much to the above but wanted to do more than click. Take all the credit you can for this shot: you spotted it and took it, and even though you say it was just a point and shoot, your eye obviously told you to do it. Not everyone would have spotted the potential here.

A great example of a perfect composition. Catching the figure against the lighter background is so important to this image.

Well Done!
