Compositionally, placing two such competing objects at the ends of both the bench and also your picture doesn't work for me, particularly as you main chosen subject is the snow. Could she have sat next to the sledge? Could you have just left the sledge out of the picture?

My comments would be around the perspective. I would have preferred a shot from an angle with the girl in the foreground wth the sledge behind and some people perhaps in the background, possibly walking away. This would tell a story for me and you could call the shot 'playtime over'.
I note also that the feet and bench are cropped in the original, so would have preferred a wider shot.

Thanks for the criticisms and suggestions, I just bought our camera last august, so I'm really new to photography. I know I still have a lot to learn about composition and light and all stuff about photography. I usually just take photos of my family and friends and I just want them to look good. i took this photo after the my daughters were done playing in the snow, she sat on the bench and i thought of placing the sledge on the other end of the bench, obviously i didn't really think about her feet being cropped off and the bench as well. But all of this is part of learning and improving.
I like Focusman's modifications, i could have zoomed in and put them both together.

Its quite a nice shot with a few adjustments. First off, the snow is blue, so you need to use positive exposure compensation of +1 or so to shoot into snow. Im attracted by the fact the red saucer is there, and the space between the girl and it.
Move the saucer closer, - I see Franks has had the same idea already, - however I would add a little space at the bottom and give her shoes!

i like the composition and juxtaposition of the red circular shape against the figure on the bench seat. i also really like the way the circles in the hat pick up the shape of the sledge as a nice little extra element
compositionally its very good except it needed a little more space to include the young ladies feet and the ends of the seat. unlike film or slide film digital is better shot with a little extra space to permit cropping and angular corrections in post process.
a little colour correction is needed to correct the blue in the snow but its marginal and easy to do in photoshop.
i wonder if this would make a good mono too

Thanks Phil, appreciate the comments and suggestions. I placed my daughter and the disc at opposite ends because it's kinda like my daughter was saying "get away from me, i'm tired, need to take a break". Obviously being a newbie, i really didn't think about her feet and the whole length of the bench.
