The long and not so winding road...erhm, path.Wink

is this what walking the line means?
seeing a tiny human figure at the end of this footpath would make it perfect
but you can't have everything
an excellent shot where simplicity borders on sophistication..

We have seen a lots of these in the past year. The big house just near us has a footpath all the around the edge of their estate, which has been a life saver this past year. It did get a little muddy in the winter.

From World War I:
There's a long, long trail a-winding
Into the land of my dreams,
Where nightingales are singing
And a white moon beams:
There's a long, long night of waiting
Until my dreams all come true;
Till the day when I'll be going down
That long, long trail with you.

It seems to sum it up, your great image, Bill.

A star Bill! This is really quite amazing! I can only repeat what has been said above. This photo could be hanging
in an exhibition. One of the most appealing I've seen so far. The simple lines and sense of emptiness make it peaceful
and attractive. Great shot and work Bill!Smile

That is, indeed, a cracker, Bill. As Leo says, a figure down the path would have been the icing on the cake, but the clump of trees and strong sky do offer balance.

Great perspective, the track looks like it goes on forever. I like how the clump of trees breaks up the line of the horizon 👍😃

I think you need some rain. That ground is looking cracked and dry. Almost desert like. Makes a great photo though.

Splendid composition and the little kink in the path just gives it an extra touch.
Looks very dry - it's over 3 wks since we had any rain, though some due tomorrow they say.
