To the Point

By jpappleton
A bitter sweet image this one as I originally arrived at Seaham a few miles down the road from this location to try and get a sunrise shot at Chemical Beach. Typically me not doing much planning I arrived around 45 mins before sunrise and realised the beach access was poor to say the least. Fast forward 10 mins and I'm on the ground near the cliff edge with my Tripod Head in my face and loads of pain down my side. Kinda spoilt the day but thankfully didn't damage any of my gear. Anyway after a few hours to recover I ended up at Roker Pier albeit in the middle of the day and the sun screaming down from high. I was determined to get something and decided on this Long Exposure. Lesson learned from the day is to definately plan and plan again.

Beautiful image. I take it you fell over and didn't have a heart attack or stroke then.

This is lovely....like how it almost fills the frame with its curve.
